Sweaters | Try-On Session

Happy Wednesday y’all! We’ve had a small cool front come in these last two days, and I am so excited to pull out the long sleeves and sweaters!

We have been busy getting ready to head out of town for our 10th anniversary!  My mom is here visiting, and we LOVE when Nanna comes!  She is so helpful and loves spending times with the boys.

Let’s talk dressing rooms today.  If you are like me, then you wish you knew that the same size in clothes fit the same everywhere you shopped!  Unfortunately that’s not the case.  So, we are stuck deciding do we try on or just take it home and possibly return or exchange later on.  I am a shopper that usually brings it home because little boys in the dressing with mommy doesn’t last long! 😉

I went to H&M this past week, and had lots of fun trying on a bunch of sweaters for you guys for the up coming winter months.  These sweaters were all light weight and so soft.

Sweater 1

This dark gray V-neck sweater, was a must have after I tried it on.  It comes in multiple colors and can be worn on or off the shoulder.  I know what you are thinking, a sweater that can be pulled off the shoulder and a v-neck…….too low… no way!  I thought the same thing.  But was pretty amazed at how this sweater laid when it was on my shoulders and then pulled off one shoulder.  The V was never too low…..if you know what I mean.

I also loved the front tuck with jeans.  This sweater isn’t bulky, so it can easily be front tucked for another look.

Sweater 2

Now you see how much I love this sweater!  This is the same sweater in blush, but says “gray” online if you click the link.  Like I said, it comes in so many different colors, I wanted them all.  The price point is great too.  This sweater is under $30.

For reference, I am wearing the small in this sweater.  I tried the medium as well and could have gone with either size.  They are roomy, slouchy and oh so comfortable.

Sweater 3

Now y’all know, I can’t have enough stripe of anything in my closet.  This fine knit sweater is a little thicker than the V neck, but not heavy at all.  The stripe caught my eye of course and it’s under $20!  This one is a little shorter and has more of a wide cut compared to sweater 1 & 2, but I loved the fit especially with a pair of high waisted jeans.

This sweater looks great in a front tuck too.  I love the ribbed black trim and the high neck.  This one was for sure a winner in the dressing room and comes in like 9 other colors.  The gray and beige colors will be great neutrals for fall.

Now to convince myself I need another striped sweater.  If you are looking for a bold stripe sweater, then this one is a must.  It looks great with jeans, slip on shoes or would also be cute layered over a denim button up shirt like this one.

Sweater 4

This gray knit sweater I grabbed on my way to the dressing room because I loved the dot texture that makes it unique.  Besides being super soft, the fit was such a great slouchy fit.  This one fit a lot like the stripe one above with the ribbed neckline, hem and sleeves, just with added detail.  LOVE IT!

Sweater 5

Cardigans are everywhere and I feel like they are here to stay and can add to your fall transition pieces.  When the day heats up, it easy to layer with cardigans that you can put on and take off.  This cardigan was one I fell in love with.  I loved the eggplant color and realized I don’t have this color in my closet.  It also comes in light and dark gray.

I love the length on this knit blend cardigan and would layer this over so many of my casual dresses.  Some dresses that come to mind for layering over are this gray one and black one I bought earlier this season.  As the weather cools you can throw it on with jeans and a tee for that everyday comfortable outfit.

I am so ready for cold weather and can’t wait to wear some of these sweaters as the weather cools.  These sweaters and tops are easy to throw on with a pair of jeans and booties like this or slides.  They are also great for the office.  I would pair them with a sleek pencil skirt like this or your favorite pair of slacks.

I hope this try on session was as fun for you as it was for me!   I was so surprised at how many great sweaters there were to choose from and the prices can’t be beat!

XO, Ja’Net
