dressing room try-on session

Happy day friends!

I snuck into LOFT the other day to check out their sales and see what new pieces were arriving that we could wear now and would wear for spring too.
This blog post is all about my latest try-on session at LOFT.  I tried on a variety of items, both casual, but also pieces that could work for the office.  I always think about my days as a teacher and if it is comfortable enough to teach in then its perfect!  For reference, I am 5’6 and typically wear a small in LOFT clothing.  Just click any of the links for all the shopping details. 🙂

First up, I love this flutter sleeve top in white. (minus the wrinkles)  If you remember I wore it over the holidays in red, and was so excited to see it offered in another color. :). This top is a great basic top that can be worn alone or layered under cardigans while the weather is cold.

NOW, let me just say one word about these olive pants.  PERFECT! These pants were so comfortable when I put them on.  I love the zip pockets in the front and the zips on the ankles.  They fit true to size and can be worn now with your booties and brought into spring with heels or wedges.  These pants also come in a sangria/wine color……thinking Valentine’s Day. 🙂

If you saw my Christmas Day post on Instagram, then you saw this cardigan in beige.  I grabbed the gray one to throw on over this outfit, to give you another option for layering.  If you are looking for a new light weight cardigan this one is perfect!  It comes in beige, navy and this gray.  I love that it has pockets and a hood!  My beige one is a small, but I am wearing a medium in this dark gray one.   For reference,  I feel like I could go either way with size.

This navy striped top is prefect for spring.  I love the material and the flutter sleeves.  They are more of a 3/4 sleeve, so your shirt won’t drag in the queso. ;).  This top would look great with white denim, and even denim shorts in the summer.

While we are on stripes, I also picked up this more silky, flowy stripe black and white stripe top.  Again, the sleeves are adorable and it would be cute for the office with a pair of slacks or tucked into a pencil skirt.  I am seeing lots of pink and blush for spring.  I grabbed these slim pink pants to try on, and probably would size up in these for a little looser fit.  They are so cute and comfortable if you are looking for an ankle length pant for the spring these are perfect.  Another great top that is perfect for the office, but also would be super cute with white denim.  I love all the colors in this one.  The cut is super flattering too.  I am wearing a small for reference.  This print also comes in a dress too.  Click here for the dress version.I had to snap a picture of this one, for all my Longhorn friends.  This is the prettiest burnt orange blouse.  The cut is very similar to the floral print above.

This sweet little top came home with me because I am thinking perfect for now with skinnies, but super cute to wear in the spring time with denim shorts.  I think I may cut the strings off near the neck.  (they don’t have a purpose). It also comes in this cute floral print.  I tried both the XS and S, and ended up going with the small.  There wasn’t much of a difference except I liked the length of the small better.

This pink sweater was super cute and comfortable.  It is great for the chilly weather now.  It comes in several colors and very flattering.  You could even layer it over a button up for a warmer layered look.  For reference, I sized up to a medium in this sweater.  I liked the looser fit.  These jeans are also the modern skinny  in the dark rinse.

LOFT has so many cute dresses right now with the cutest prints.  This dress is perfect for a ladies lunch, church on Sundays and the office.  Again, I would probably cut the strings off near the neck, I think it looks better without them. 🙂  Keep scrolling, this is my favorite!  Look at all the ways I styled this dress to wear now while the weather is cold.  This print also comes in a blouse.  Click here for that one.

How cute y’all!  Take one of your oversized sweaters and wear it on top of your dress.  I loved this pink one to layer with.  You can layer any sweater on top of a dress or tie a cute knot to give it a more chic look.   This is such a great look for now, so your dresses stay in rotation.  This is my favorite of all the things I tried on today.  It makes me want to go home and see what sweaters I can layer over my dresses, after I buy this one of course. 😉

Lastly, I wanted to give you another peek at the cami I always am talking about.  I love this cami.  It is perfect for layering with sweaters and blazers and will be great for spring.  I am already planning outfits with it!  I am thinking distressed white jeans or even dress it up for the office with a pencil skirt.
