Dressing Room Try-On | J.Crew Factory

Hey friends,

Wow!  Texas summer heat is here!  Not complaining, but I did fix my hair right before I left the house and now it’s a big frizzy mess!

Ok, so while working on my May favorites blog post (that will be ready on Monday) I noticed that my last try-on session blog post at J.Crew Factory has been one of my most popular posts when it comes to try-ons!  So, I ran up there yesterday to try on all the new arrivals!

I love these scalloped shorts.  The fit and 4 inch length are perfect.  I will say the white is a bit see through, BUT they come in tons of colors, so if you don’t want to go with white check out all the other color options.  For reference, I am wearing size 2, and would say they fit TTS.

This tank was one of the first things I picked up to try and instantly fell in love with it.  It is super stretchy and is a great fit!  You guys know I am sucker for navy stripes.  I tried on a medium here in this picture.

I have been eyeing these red pom pom shorts ever since I ordered the black ones.  The red are just as good!  They are super comfy and not too short.  I am wearing a small in this picture, but need an XS.  The waist is a working draw string tie.  I paired it with the same navy and white tank!  This outfit was giving me all the Fourth of July vibes!

I grabbed these white denim shorts and so glad I did.  They have a great fit and again the length is not too short.  For reference I tried size 26 & 27.  I ended up liking the 26 better.  The 27 was a looser fit on my waist and hit little lower.

I paired these shorts with this lightweight tan stripe button up shirt! This is a small and was the perfect fit.  The fit reminded me of the gingham shirt we all love!  This shirt also comes in a sleeveless version that was really cute too.

This pullover tassel top was so cute!  I loved the navy and white of course, but also loved the embroidery around the neck.  For reference, this is a size 2.

I absolutely loved this white flowy top!  I probably could have gotten a 2 in size but they didn’t have one in store for me to try-on.  This top comes in a pretty yellow and a blue as well.  I love the white and blue, but did feel like it was a little see through.  I loved the yellow one, but they didn’t have any sizes to try on.

Ok, this top instantly caught my attention because you don’t see much solid olive green this time of year unless it’s a palm tree. :).  I thought this tee was super cute and causal!

This is another pair of denim shorts, that I felt like fit great and didn’t gap in the back.  They run TTS and fit just like the white denim shorts.

This dress was another one of my favorites.  I mean we can’t have too many embroidered dresses right?!  This one fit TTS and was so comfy and soft!  From the picture it is hard to tell, but this dress hits above the knee.  It is fully lined as well.  It also comes in a white and royal blue and navy option too!

I grabbed this dress right when I walked in because I thought the print was so fun!  I loved the light blue paired with dark blue.  This dress is an off the shoulder dress but I wanted to show you that it works just perfectly on your shoulders too.  For reference, I tried on a size small and it was a great fit.

Can we say sweetest light pink dress I ever did see.  This dress is normally not something I would grab, but I am so glad I did.  The straps are adjustable in the back too which is always a must when I buy something with spaghetti straps.  The maxi fit hit closer to my ankle, and didn’t drag the floor at all.

This dress fit TTS and I think would be perfect for a casual Sunday or brunch with friends.  Such a pretty print!

This maxi was AMAZING!  I tried on the small and needed to size down in this one because the chest area was too big,  but I loved the flattering fit.  The back is a cris cross strap, so you would need a strapless bra with this one.  If you are looking for a vaca dress or just a flattering maxi for summer, this is the one!

When I first grabbed this dress to try on, I didn’t expect it to be much.  BUT, let me tell you it is sooooo comfortable!  It feels like a pair of pajamas!  I loved the flutter sleeves  and thin stripe.  This dress also comes in a red stripe too.  This one came home with me!! For reference, I am wearing a small.

I thought these pants were way cuter on than on the hanger!  They have such a flattering fit and would be so fun to dress up for a night out with nude heels!  I loved it with the basic simple tank and also a more dressy top like the off the shoulder one.  I would size down in the top for a little more formed fit.  The pants are high waisted which makes them hit at the ankle.  For reference, I am wearing a size 2 in the pants, and I am 5’6.

These skirts are always so fun!  My favorite part with this skirt is you can wear it above your waist, below, or on your waist.   I move this skirt up and down until I find the most flattering fit with the style of top I am wearing.

I styled it three different ways above!  One with a more dress top that you cold tuck in and pair with heels and statement earrings.  Next a way more causal look with a tee knotted to the size!  Third, a tighter tank tucked in could be dressed up or down.

I just love these wash and wear bags!  I bought these as part of a favorite things party last year and they were a hit!  I saw this new print in store and thought it was so cute and could be such a fun little gift! 🙂
