A NO BAKE BROWN SUGAR HOLIDAY TREAT

Hi friends,

Do y’all like to bake during the holidays? I remember baking with my mom as a little girl and watching her make bags of goodies for relatives and friends. I thought this was such a wonderful idea. Instead of giving gifts, she would spend days in the kitchen baking several treats of all kinds to pass out to family and friends at Christmas time. Our family looked forward to my mom’s basket of baked goodies.

One recipe my mom shared with us, was this easy no bake dessert, that we would help here make at an early age. We called them “Brown Sugar Bumps.” We always laugh because they looked more like a tray of lumps when we would make them, but they were so easy, quick to make and good!

In this blog post, I am excited to share this easy 4 ingredient recipe with you and hope you enjoy it as much as we do!

Brown Sugar Bumps

  • Servings: 10-12 balls
  • Print

A homemade tradition from our kitchen to yours.

Ingredients

  • 1 cup old fashion oats (not instant)
  • 1/4 C peanut butter
  • 1/4 C melted unsalted butter
  • 1/2 C brown sugar, packed

Directions

Mix ALL ingredients in a bowl until combined. Use hands to form into lumps or balls and place on a plate. Refrigerate immediately until they have hardened. Best served cold.

  • you can sub gluten free oats and raw peanut butter. If you use raw peanut butter it will be less sticky, but refrigerate quickly and they will harden. Enjoy!
