Two Looks | One Comfy Dress

Happy Monday friends!  We are still enjoying our cold weather in the south even though the snow is gone.  It has been amazing.  Sweaters, scarves, layers and boots have been on full rotation. 🙂  I am busy getting my house together for our friend stocking stuffer party. This is my first year to co-host with a sweet friend at my house.  I am so excited and can’t wait to share all the details with you!

Today I am going to talk about taking a casual dress like this one and dressing it up for the office, cooler weather, a holiday party or any occasion.  Dresses don’t just have to be for warmer days.

I spotted this dress at LOFT a few weeks ago and knew the possibilities were endless.  First off, I know I probably don’t need another grey dress, but the puffy sleeves are such a “to die for” addition to this not so plain dress.

This first look is an everyday casual look.  You can take this dress to cute status or in my case “cute mom status” 😉 with just a few accessories.  I love the loose flowy fit of this dress.  The feel…..think like that favorite pair of broken in sweatpants you’ve had since college.  COMFY!

LOFT graydress:closeupI love pairing this dress with my new sneakers that Santa brought early this year. 😉 (thanks hubby)  In Texas we still have a lot of warmer winter days, so this dress is great for almost any season.

Gray is such an easy color to mix and match into your wardrobe.  Throwing on a faux fir vest or a puffer vest would also be a cute layering option for cooler days.  Click here for my favorite puffer vest that I own in multiple colors.  I also am anxious to see this faux fur vest.

I lastly dressed this casual look up just a tad with these earrings that seem to go with anything!  The best part…..they are $12.99 and come in multiple colors.

Another way to style this dress if you are headed to the office or just to give it a more dressy feel… by adding accessories.

I love adding  black tights and booties to a dress.  The black tights are a prefect addition to make this dress more work appropriate or just for chillier days.  Click here for my black tights and check out this cute dot pair I may need too!

I love these booties that I bought a few months ago at Target.  They have been a staple in my closet and  are so versatile.  Did I mention they are under $35!Graydress2graydress4This dress is so comfortable and by adding a few layers and accessories it can change the entire look.  These scarves have been a staple in my wardrobe this season.  They go on sale often and come in so many great plaid options.  Click here for all the scarf details.  (What a great gift idea too).  BTW….these scarves are truly WARM.  One of my favorites for sure!graydress5graydress6Shop the look: LOFT dress | LOFT tights | dot tights | Target necklace | similar necklace | Rue Bird Market earrings | similar earrings | Target booties | J. Lastly, adding some sparkle can take this dress into the evening.  You guys have seen this necklace before.  It is such a great statement piece and for $22, that’s a steal.   I even threw on my new earrings from Rue Bird Market that are so festive for this time of year.

This dress has endless possibilities, I just love it!  Finding pieces you can wear multiple ways can be a game changer when shopping.   I hope this post has inspired you to do a little shopping, but at the same time think twice about what you have in your closet and see what outfits you can create by adding accessories, different shoes or even a fun pair of tights!

Happy styling my friends.  Have a wonderful day.  I would love to hear from you.

XO, Ja’Net
