Do you ever struggle with what to wear for a girls’ night out or date with the hubby? I feel like sometimes I am looking in my closet and thinking, I have nothing to wear!
This blog post is all about taking a casual outfit to an easy evening look. I hope this helps when you are searching for that outfit for a night out.
sweater-I snagged this sweater for under $15, but its regular price is $19.99!! It is a thin knit sweater that is perfect for layering and great for those chilly days. This sweater comes in multiple colors (more stripes and solids) and the best part is it can be dressed up or down. It also is a high-low hem, so it hangs down a little further in the back.
jeans-I love the distressed trend. You can wear them during the day, but they are also acceptable for a night on the town. This specific pair are a budget friendly skinny jean with little distressing. They are super stretchy, so I would size down one size because they will stretch.
nude flats-OMG, I saw these flats online and I loved my last pair of shoes from this retailer so much I didn’t hesitate to order a new pair. These are super comfortable and you can wear them as a loafer or mule. The back folds in for a mule style shoe. The black pair have been on sale for under $25 and would be great for the office. These loafers also come in navy and a pretty bold pink.
tote-this bag has been a girl’s best friend this fall. The reviews online were great, and at the time my 3rd son was 6 months, and I wanted a bag that would function as a purse for me, but also with plenty of room to carry his things. This bag has done it all and looked cute at the same time. It also comes in a cognac, cream and camel color. I am seriously contemplating the camel for this spring!
necklace-I spotted this necklace over the holidays and loved how easy it was to throw on with almost any top! If you look back at my Instagram, you will see multiple ways I have worn it. It is under $35 when it is regular price, but goes on sale so often, I would most definitely wait for a sale! If you like your earrings to match your necklace, or if you are more of an earrings gal, they come in an earring version too! Click here to peek at those.
Now with all the details about this outfit, you can throw on any sweater during the day with a pair of flats or even cute sneakers for a day of errands or like me, just doing my mom thing. I also have and love these flats and think they would be super cute with this outfit. I did a front tuck with my sweater to give my outfit a little more flair, but it also would be super cute with a longer flowing cami underneath. This one has been my favorite so far.
Again, y’all these flats have been super comfy! I have ordered shoes twice from H&M and would recommend sizing down a 1/2 size.
Ok, so now your day is over and you’ve got a dinner date with the hubby! Don’t stress, all you need to do is kick off those flats, put away your tote and spice up your jewelry and you are set!
Heels Nude heels can make any outfit. They can bring any outfit from plain to chic. If you are looking for a budget friendly pair that are comfy, these are perfect. They come in several shades of light beige all the way to brown. These are the shade “pecan.” For reference, I did size down a 1/2 size. But honestly could have gone either way.
Clutch I love Stella & Dot handbags! They are such great quality bags and their clutches are always prefect for a night out. This one is versatile and goes with so much. I have used it for years! Click here and here to peek at others I love from this brand.
Earrings I was super excited to order these over the holidays! I’ve gotten a lot of use out of them. They are perfect for dressing up any outfit. My favorite is they are not heavy at all! They come in a pretty blush color too, would be perfect for spring!
These jeans are great for either day or night. I love the stretchy-fit and the budget friendly price makes them a no brainer. I sized down one size in these jeans, because they do stretch. I also love the raw hem. They would be super cute with booties since the weather is still chilly. I just ordered these booties in the tan color. They are on sale for under $60! I am so excited to style these this week for y’all.
What flexible closet pieces do you have? I know these sweaters will be so versatile leading up to spring, because they are a thin material. I am excited about these jeans because who doesn’t need jeans year round for something or the other. Lastly, you can’t go wrong with a pair of nude shoes. Whether your style is flats, slip ons or heels you can always find something to rotate into your wardrobe.
I hope this post has given you a little inspiration and help when you feel like you have nothing to wear for those fun nights out!
