Hello August!
How did summer go by so quickly!? Or did it? I feel like our summer days have been long but we were so busy with moving and enjoying the NO schedule it seem to have flown by. August for us means enjoying a few more late nights before the routine starts back. My oldest is starting Junior High this year and I can’t believe how time flies. Funny I always think back to what my mom was doing during the times I was a certain age. I always think about what she did, what she looked like, and what was going on in our lives then. Here’s to enjoying the last weeks before school!
I feel like as summer is winding down the shift in fashion goes from swimsuits and cut offs to more transitional pieces. Texas heat sticks around for a long time so finding transitional outfits can sometimes be a struggle or just a big sweat fest. LOL. This past month the favorites were all winners in my book! I rounded up the top ten for the month of July, and there are some great pieces that will go perfect for fall temps and back to school. I also added in the TOP FIVE Amazon favorites that you guys shopped for this past month.

leopard sneakers – these are a designer look for less coming in at around $25! I have worn these out and about several times now and they are comfy too. True to size. Not to worry if your size is sold out, they keep bouncing in and out of stock and I will be sure to post when they are back.
strapless bra – a good basic summer strapless that I have worn all summer. It has light padding and slips on like a bandeau. $15 price tag and works perfectly with sun dresses and all strapless needs. *NOTE it does not offer major support, just a comfortable option that does not have wire. 🙂
muscle tank – this tank has been a favorite and the price tag is $8. Which means….get every single color. A great basic to have in your closet come fall. The fit is TTS.
skinny denim – these AB solution skinny jeans were an instant favorite in the Nordstrom Anniversary Sale. With the elastic built in waist what else do you need. They are very comfortable and a perfect classic skinny without any distressing. I size down in this brand every time for stretch.
crop denim – need an affordable denim for fall? This crop pair are under $30 and perfect for a casual distressed look! I am excited to wear these through out the fall and you can’t beat the price. TTS or if in between on denim sizes go down one for stretch.
floral top – this is one of my most loved tops this month. The unexpected black / pink floral print is adorable and perfect for back to school, back to the office or a date night! TTS.
white sneakers – another score from the Nordstrom Anniversay Sale, these neutral sneakers are a fave! They are comfortable and the fit is TTS. (comes in 3 colors)
crossbody bag – an affordable bag option that you guys have scooped up this season. Very similar to the Madwell crossbody but only $30!
sweater top – another great option for work, this flutter sleeve sweater top was a fan fave! TTS.
pajamas – the popular Nordstrom pajamas are a great sale item during the Nsale. They run TTS in my opinion.
