Hello and happy Sunday! We are soaking in the last few days of summer here. I’ve noticed I have some new blog subscribers, and I wanted to welcome you to my little space here.
We are starting school next week and the kids are excited to see friends and meet their new teachers. I can’t believe my oldest is in 7th grade, that seems so old to me! And my youngest is going into kinder! Wow! I really thought I was going to be driving to preschool for ever.
Now that school is starting, we know that means routines go into place and hopefully a little more organization. I hope next week to share a few organizing tricks that help keep our house running smoothly.
What’s Been Happening?
We had an amazing family vacation in Florida with friends! We have never been to 30A so it was a lot of fun for all of us. We stayed in this condo, which was the perfect location. It is a 3 bedroom with plenty of space and the perfect beach view. You are in walking distance to so many shops and restaurants in Rosemary. We highly recommend this spot.
Two of our favorite restaurants were The Citizen in Alys Beach and Old Florida Fish House! You seriously can’t go wrong. The food is all so amazing! The kids of course loved the Sugar Shak! I did save a highlight section on Instagram of our trip to Florida. Follow me here on Instagram!
So now that the summer busyness is slowing down, I thought I would share whats new, reader faves and outfits lately all in this post.
In the Kitchen
But first, I hope to get back into the kitchen more and share yummy easy dinners like my salmon tacos! If you follow along on Instagram then you saw me making these last week….not to worry if you missed it. Its easy and quick! Take your favorite fish or shrimp and throw them into Siete tortillas. You can add coleslaw, avocado, cilantro….anything you like! These are a must for leftovers too! Stay tuned for more dinner recipes.
For reference, I am 5’6 and typically a small / 4.
This is an outfit that you will see me for several more months! It stays hot here in Texas so shorts are worn 9-10 months out of the year. I’ll add cozy cardigans and sweatshirts as the weather cools and fun fall sneakers.
A close up of my new fashion sneakers for fall! I love the neutral colors and small hint of leopard. These have a memory foam sole and fit true to size. You’ll love the comfort and can’t beat the price! Click here to shop.
I shared this look in stories the other day. Again another go to look for me! These button up tops have been a summer fave and would work so well going into fall. Check out the cream plaid, I think it’s fall perfect. Click here to shop and get your true size. I am in a small for reference.

More Outfit Inspo
What I am most excited about are the pull on elastic waist pants that would be perfect for teachers, librarians or anyone with a casual work dress code. I would recommend sizing down if you are in between. I am wearing the XS. Click here to grab a pair.
I also ordered both of these and just got them in! They are so soft and will be the perfect light layer when the weather cools. I love the neutral tones.
Old Navy has some really pretty florals in for fall! Lots of cute blouses and dresses perfect for fall. I am planning a try on soon! This dress is a pretty fall option – perfect for family photos or throw on flats and a cardigan for a casual work option.
This dress was an instant fave! It comes in three colors and fits tts. I love the fit and styling it this week on Instagram multiple ways! I really love this new pullover from Target too! It will be great for fall!
AND not everything works out like you would hope! This one has the prettiest sleeves and makes a perfect casual work dress but the pockets would not lay down for me. They popped out but only at the hips… sadly it will go back. But everything looks different on everyone, so click here if you want to check it out.
