If you happen to have read my blog post about Rue Bird Market, then you know they have some really great styles that are unique and perfect for the season. I am bringing this dress to you today that I recently picked up at their shop. It comes in this beautiful camel color and a wine color too. This dress is one of those perfect pieces and a great staple to add to your fall/winter wardrobe.
For this mom, this dress is the perfect length. Not too short, not too long. I love the unexpected mock neck that adds a dressed up feel to it. For reference, I am 5’6 and wearing the small.

The suede like fabric makes this dress so soft and flattering, and the pockets make it a winner! Did I mention it is under $55 and such a steal for the endless possibilities you can create with it.
I paired it with these peep-toe booties, but it would look great with casual booties, over the knee boots or even a nice pair of heels for a night out.
A statement necklace can also give this dress a different feel. I added this turquoise necklace from Rue Bird Market, and I am thinking a pair of black cowboy boots would be fun for a night out in Texas! 😉

This dress would also be great for family pictures. I feel like it’s a great neutral color for those that are going for the subtle color scheme like tan, beige, denim or whites. Or it can easily blend with pops of color and different prints.
As the months cool off, I would pair it with a black motto jacket, like this one. Also a fun plaid or leopard scarf would be a great addition to this dress. I am a huge fan of the B.P. scarves from Nordstrom. They are excellent quality and usually under $25.

I’m kinda wishing I had big plans this weekend so I could wear this dress again! My plans are to wake up to my morning coffee, and race out the door to make two flag football games with Weston in the stroller. 🙂 Dress up for this mama will have to wait.
I do hope this post brings you a little dress up inspiration! Family pictures are coming soon for many, and figuring out what to wear is always so hard. Planning ahead is key, and I think this dress would be perfect.
