One Skirt | Two Easy Looks

Happy Friday friends!  We are so looking forward to this weekend.  My mom is coming in town next week to visit.  The boys are so excited to see her, and we are hoping the cooler weather sticks around a little longer.

Today, I am excited to talk about keeping skirts in your fall wardrobe.  Whether it’s to wear to work, lunch with friends or a date night.  Dressing up skirts is so fun and there are endless possibilities.  This skirt I feel like is a great casual piece that is comfortable, stylish and versatile.  And has pockets!!

I have seen these elastic waisted skirts at various retailers and finally decided to give one a try.  Elastic = stretchy!!! 😉  I was a little on the fence before trying it on, but with the right top and placement of the waist, I say it’s a win!  For me, I like to wear it a little higher on my waist than usual.  This gives my waist a smaller appearance and gives my lower body more room in the skirt.

These skirts come in 6 different colors, including this cute plaid that would go great with a denim top.

For my first look, I paired it with this super soft, light weight sweater with ruffle detail.  I love that ruffles are in right now!  This sweater comes in three different colors, and when I saw the bright pink I had to get it!  I love how a tailored sweater brings this skirt into fall, and keeps the outfit looking polished and classy.

For reference, I went with a small in this sweater for a more fitted look, so it would look neat and smooth tucked in to this skirt.

To complete this outfit and continue with fall trends, I wore my favorite black booties.  These are so comfy and come in a neutral color too.  I don’t know why I haven’t ordered them yet!  😉  Adding a statement necklace, like this one makes me think evening out or holiday parties.  (which will be here so soon)

The second look I love with this skirt, is a flutter sleeve top.  This top is on trend and looks great with almost anything.  The body of this shirt is slimming and can easily be tucked in or left out, while the sleeves make the statement.

I paired this top again with these black booties and a fun beaded clutch for a more dressed up feel.  This bag helps transition the outfit for an evening on the town!  These custom hand beaded bags are my favorite! @shopbrittneyjaggard has an amazing selection and can even monogram a bag of your choice.  Check out her Instagram @shopbritnneyjaggard for more details.

What’s great about this skirt is you can throw on a pair flats for a causal day or dress it up with a pair of pumps!  There are endless possibilities.  Finding the look that you feel comfortable in is the main goal.

I hope this post has given you a few ideas if your wardrobe is skirt “less.”  Or if it’s time to update your closet and pair some new tops with a new skirt.  I would love to see what you can come up with!
