If you know me, then you know I am a home body and proud of it! I love snuggling up on the couch and watching a movie just as much as going out. Or it could be the three little boys taking all my energy. LOL. 😉
But, when the hubby turned 40 this year he mentioned taking a trip. So, October arrived, and he said you have no choice we are booking a trip to Cabo! We spent our honeymoon in Cabo at the Marquis De Los Cabos. We had an amazing time and loved every minute of it, but decided for our 10 year anniversary trip we wanted to try something different and heard great things about The Resort at Pedregal.
The flights were booked. The room was booked. A few reservations were made and we were ready!
First off, packing for the beach in October is so hard! LOL. 🙂 Even though it’s not cold here yet, my swim suits have been put away since summer ended, and I had to search for my spray sunscreen! 😉
I basically packed a few dresses, swim suits and cover ups! DONE! I didn’t shop for anything new as my summer wardrobe was still stocked with plenty of choices. I was excited to travel in this super comfy dress, that was super casual and easy to layer since I always get cold on airplanes.

We landed on a Thursday and let me just say the immediate service The Resort at Pedregal offered was amazing. Aaron was our personal host. He got us settled, confirmed all our reservations and organized our transportation. How cool is this tunnel you have to drive through to get to the resort.
Then, we walked outside towards the ocean and the view was priceless! Oh my gosh, is all I can say.
We decided to change into our swimsuits and hit the pool for a little sun and relaxation. We lounged and tasted the margaritas, then headed upstairs because around 5pm every afternoon they deliver fresh guacamole, chips and two Coronasitas to your room. 😀
It was so fresh and perfect since we usually were starting to get hungry (stomachs on Houston time) and this was the perfect appetizer before heading out to dinner!
This little goodie, that my hubby thoroughly enjoyed was also in our room to sip, or take home as a souvenir. 😉
We had dinner at Edith’s that night, a popular restaurant in town that has tasty margaritas and the food was excellent. We headed back to our room to be surprised with a bottle of champs to toast our anniversary! Compliments of Aaron.
The next day we were up and decided to get a quick workout in and check out the complimentary breakfast bar in one of the restaurants. It had fresh coffee, juices, an egg station, pastries, fruit and an assortment of different Mexican style dishes, all for breakfast! They even spoiled us with a little morning “cocktail” to toast our Anniversary.

The three days we were there we decided to do a lot of NOTHING! Just relaxing, laying poolside and splurging on some good food. The pool set up was amazing and the wait staff was top notch. They were all so friendly and made sure our needs were met. The pool manager even stopped by to introduce himself and check on us daily. We got to talk a lot of baseball, as we were rooting on our Astros to beat the Yankees!
That evening, we ate at Don Manuel’s in the resort. They served traditional style Mexican food. The service was great and the food was delicious! They continued to spoil us with the friendly service and yummy desserts.
Our poolside days were so amazing and relaxing. The resort has two pools, with plenty of chairs and shade to lounge in. I kept telling Ryan it felt like we were the only ones there. There was never a wait, never not enough of anything and always someone to help you. The service was excellent and the atmosphere was exquisite.
One of our views from the pool, over near the mountain…….was El Farallon. This was their seafood restaurant built into the mountain. We were excited to try it.
And the views didn’t disappoint for this dinner! We had dinner at sunset, and it was perfect! At El Farallon you chose your seafood of choice and table sides. You then start with a soup, and three appetizer plate. Let’s just say we had more than enough to eat! It was so much food, but so good!
We finished the night with the corn cake. My first thought was man I need some chocolate, but this cake was perfect! Similar to a sweet cornbread. It was soft, fluffy and sweet.
Sunday rolled around and we were ready to get back home. Missed our babies and wanted to relieve the grandparents! Our flights were early Monday, so we did a quick trip into town, and relaxed the remainder of the day!
A few pictures from our trip into the town of Cabo San Lucas and walking through the marina.
This trip was perfect. It was nice get away and The Resort at Pedregal was over the top amazing! Thank you to Aaron and all the staff for making our trip unforgettable. I highly recommend The Resort At Pedregal if you are looking to make a trip to Cabo!
Happy Anniversary to my wonderful husband. I am so blessed to have such a wonderful man by my side to help raise our children and “do life”. I can’t wait to see what the next 10 years will bring!
