Sweaters can be so fun to style especially since our weather has finally started to cool off and it’s fall. I can’t believe Halloween is here and that means November is HERE too!
This post is all about easy and fun layering with a basic sweater. I grabbed this sweater last week while shopping at LOFT, and immediately loved that it was a thin material, and could be layered and worn in multiple ways. I also liked the length of it because it will go great with jeans or leggings. Check out my favorite high waisted leggings here.
This sweater is longer than your normal top, which is important at times especially when I am up and down chasing my little guy. When I am bending over picking up everything he decides to drop, having a little extra coverage is nice. ;).
Meet my little guy, Weston. He turned one in September and loves to scoot around and follow his big brothers. 😉 He has taken a few steps, but being the 3rd baby in our house I think he prefers to just be carried.

The fun part about dressing in thin sweaters is you can change them up as the weather changes. I love pairing a good sweater with a fun fall scarf. This brand is one of my favorites and most are under $30! It is reversible with a different, neutral pattern on each side. I paired my outfit with these jeans that are the black “washed” color with frayed hems. Of course, y’all have seen my favorite booties that I can’t get enough of. They are still available in black for under $35.

Another great find I added to this outfit are these adorable tassel like earrings in maroon. They are so light and the color is great for fall. Regular price they are under $35, but waiting for a sale is more my style! Check them out here. Or I think I need the navy pair too!
Another effortless and easy way to style a thin sweater is adding a vest when the weather is cooler. This brand is one of my favorites and this print is still available. One thing I love about this vest is it comes in multiple colors! How can you have just one. I also love that it is thin and not too bulky when layering.
For reference, I am wearing a small in the sweater and vest.
