Hey friends,
Raise your hand if you are busy this summer! Wow! I have so many things I want to do and places to visit, I already feel like I am running out of time. First up, we have been wanting to repaint the inside of our home. I want something neutral, white but not too white. If you have an recommendations……send them over PLEASE!
Next, my middle son wants an Astros room! I have been pouring over Pinterest and paint colors looking for ideas to get me inspired. I think we are on to something so I can’t wait to bring y’all along on that project.
If you are like me, it’s been super busy but I still try to find time to take care of myself, take my kids to fun outings and visit with friends!

shop the look: LOFT stripe skirt | black cami | mauve top (available in navy too) | nude heels | nude scallop heel
This skirt was an instant favorite in the dressing room. It touched on so many trends happening now and would be a great look for a summer party, wedding and baby shower, lunch or dinner date. I loved the high waist as well as the tie front and the midi length can be flattering with the right shoes. If you are shorter and feel like you can’t wear a midi skirt, try adding a higher nude heel. This will elongate your legs.
I love this pair of nude heels that I have been wearing all summer long! So comfortable and under $40. The heel isn’t too high and it has a cushion on the ball of the foot. They also came out with a similar pair with scalloped detail that I am dying over! Click here to see those. For reference, I did go up a 1/2 size in these heels for a more comfortable fit.

Tanks are on major rotation in my closet. Texas summer is here and not complaining at all but it is HOT! I like to take basic tanks, like this $10 mustard tank from Target and style them different ways. I paired it with white jeans on my movie date last week with my middle guy! I then had fun dressing it up for my recent blog post in this pink skirt! Click here for the boardwalk style session blog post!
I also have had a lot of questions about what wear under these tanks. I recently bought this bralette and LOVE it! I can’t wait to wear it more. I also have heard great things about this sticky bra I just ordered to try. Stay tuned for that, or if you want to try one too click here for the sticky bra.
shop the look: Target white top | Target red stripe tank | Nordstrom denim shorts | World Market sun hat |J.Crew Factory gold slides | DIFF sunglasses | Stella & Dot white earrings | J.Crew Factory navy earrings (also have them in gold)
Tanks and more tanks! I ordered both of these online with the Fourth of July in mind! How cute is the Bonita top! Perfect for vaca and the 4th of July! The red stripe top is the same as the mustard tank above! I love the red and white stripe for the 4th and it also comes in a blue stripe too!
The shorts are also one of my newest purchases. After a friend convinced me that I would LOVE them, I splurged and ordered them to try. I always size up in my denim shorts for a loose fit and more leg room. These shorts are so comfy and a great option if you love distressed denim! The best part is they don’t ride up in the middle. #momprobs 😉

Target is killing in their tank game! I picked up this navy tank last week, while on my usual diaper run. This tie front is adjustable so you can tie it lower or higher depending on what you like. It also comes in red and white! HELLO!! 4th of July tank!
I also grabbed these shorts last week after my Friday Finds 4th of July Blog Post! Click here for that blog post. A friend encouraged me to try them, so I did! They are perfect! I love the comfy fit and they are stretchy but didn’t stretch out when I wore them to the baseball game. I did size up one size, which is what I normally do in denim shorts for a loose comfortable fit.
shop the look: Target olive green top | J.Crew Factory shorts | J.Crew Factory gold slides | J.Crew Factory gold earrings
Yes, same store, new top! This olive green top seems very Madewell inspired to me! I loved the 70’s feel of it and it is something my mom would have worn when she was younger. It reminds me of her and my childhood, and I love that!! I left the bottom button unbuttoned to make it a tie front top, but you don’t have to do that if you don’t want.
shop the looks: Old Navy shorts | Old Navy muscle tanks | Old Navy leggings | NIKE running shoes | Asics training shoes |
Sharing my fitness journey here is one of the main reasons I started blogging! I love to inspire and motivate other women to do what works for them! Finding a little time each day to get your heart pumping does wonders for your health. You would be amazed what adding 20-30 minutes of physical exercise a day can do! Try it! 🙂
I am always on the look out for reasonably priced athleisure wear that is cute but also functions when working out.
These leggings have been a favorite for few months! Funny I have tried others from this brand and don’t like as much as these! So they are on repeat a lot! I personally like a comfy top, nothing too tight when I work out so these muscles tanks are perfect! They come in numerous colors with so many sayings on them.
