Summer Styles | J Crew Factory Try-On

Happy Saturday!

It’s been a busy April and now May is off to a quick start! If you have been keeping up we have been busy with baseball and my middle son has been sporting a bright blue cast this past month! Fortunately it was a fracture and he was able to get it off after 4 weeks! He is back and ready for baseball.

We are finishing up baseball season this month and it has been a busy one with two boys playing in two leagues on different teams, but I am here for it! We are finishing school this month and ready for some sunshine and summer!

I am working on my blogging schedule for summer and would love to hear from you. If you are looking to see something more in the next couple of months, drop me a line.

This week, I was able to run over to J. Crew Factory and check out some of the new styles in store.

In this J Crew Factory try-on you will find spring and summer styles for all! I hope this try-on helps make your shopping easier and faster!

For reference, in this brand I usually wear a small and a 2 when the fit is TTS. Certain items I find myself sizing down for a better fit. (usually their pull on shorts) If you do decide to do some shopping, you can shop anything from this try on directly through any links provided on this page. Or you can click here to shop the entire sale. By shopping through my links I do make a small commission and this helps me continue to provide you with the best try-ons! Thank you in advance! 🙂

Let’s get started!

wrap dress (red floral) *comes in three prints- this dress is a great spring, summer option. Perfect for the office, brunch, church or any event. I loved the fit and length and would have worn this to teach in. It is a true wrap dress, with a button to keep dress closed on the inside, and a hook n eye up top to keep secure. Click here to check this dress out.

stripe dress- Can’t pass up stripes! Although, I didn’t love the fit of this one on me personally as much as I hoped, but I might have needed to size down. I tried my true size and it was a tad too big. The stripes are really cute and the tie front gives the dress a skirt/shirt appearance.

seersucker blue and white stripe– I loved this button up dress. It comes in several prints and the length is great. The buttons are functioning and this dress did fit TTS. I would recommend sizing up one size for more bust room. It was a little tight in the bust. (size 2)

white earrings – through out the try-on (comes in several colors & a really cute multi colored pair) and not heavy at all.

eyelet dress– this dress was extremely cute and comfortable. It buttons up the front and has the cutest fit. It fit me true to size and comes in 2 other solid colors.

t-shirt dress– this dress was a comfy throw on dress. I felt like it was TTS for me. The small was a comfortable fit. I didn’t see black online, but navy and a stripe is available online. Click here for the navy version. Click here for the stripe version.

leopard skirt– I loved this skirt and had to try this one on. It fit TTS and I loved the midi length. The pleats dressed it up, but I love how you can dress it down with a tailored chambray shirt. (seen above) It comes in solid colors and a polka dot option too! Click here to get yours!

chambray shirt– I love a good chambray shirt. For a tailored fit I would size down in this shirt. If you want a more true size, comfortable fit go with your normal J Crew Factory size. I am wearing an XS which is a size down for me, and I liked the tailored fit with this skirt.

white tank– These tanks are perfect for summer time. They come in several colors and I loved the fit. I really liked the white because it wasn’t see through at all. For reference, the small fit great, so I would say TTS on this top.

bananas t-shirt – I personally like to go up a size in their basic t-shirts. I feel like they do shrink a tad in the wash. I would say they are true to size, but my personal preference is to go up one. Love all the graphic t-shirt options like the bananas one!

denim shorts– I haven’t tried their denim shorts before, so went with a 27, which is a size up than what I wear in their jeans. The fit was a good fit for me. These are high-waisted, but I felt the torso part of the shorts were too long for me personally. But a cute denim shorts option if you are looking for a pair to try.

stripe skirt– this adorable pocket stripe skirt is the perfect summer skirt. It also comes in a red stripe version. The fit was TTS and I love how this skirt could be dressed down like I have it with a t-shirt, or dress it up with a blouse.

Beach bum t-shirt – Another great t-shirt that came home with me! I love them all! There are so many different prints to choose from. Again, I am wearing a small in the second picture above, and a medium in this t-shirt in the first picture. I would go with your normal size unless you want a more comfy fit and to allow for shrinking. I actually asked the check out lady, and she said it can shrink if washed in warm or hot. So, to allow a little shrinkage, I went with a medium. And let’s be honest I will be the one to accidentally dry it on high! 😉

button fly denim shorts– If you are looking for a shorter short these are really cute! Maybe a tad too short for me, but the fit was high waisted and cute! TTS Now that I see them on the model I am wondering if I could have rolled them down. (oops! 😉 — I guess I should have checked.)

stripe jeans– Now the stripe jeans were a must try-on. I went with a 26 to try on which is my normal size in other jeans and the fit was great. These are high waisted, and they are extremely comfortable and stretchy! I loved that these jeans are a “lighter” fabric and not a thick denim. Great for warmer climates. They also come in a shorts version. Click here for those.

Easy pull on shorts – These shorts are a comfortable fitting pair. I would recommend sizing down. I feel these run big. They come in several colors and prints.

Green shorts– I loved the fit of these crape shorts. They have an elastic waist in the back and a button in the front. The fit was TTS. 4 inch seam. (come in coral and black also) A perfect pair of shorts to dress up.

Drawstring shorts– these shorts are my go to favorites and this coral pair was a favorite from my try-on. I typically size down in their casual shorts to an XS. These shorts also come in a navy stripe. Click here for the stripe pair.

stripe tank– this tank is the same as the white tank I tried on earlier. I have a very similar tank from last year, and love this top! It goes great with shorts and jeans! It also comes in a mustard stripe that I wish they had in store to try on. The fit is TTS. Wearing a small.

Scalloped shorts – come in several colors and has a great fit! TTS. A perfect classic pair of shorts. **the white appeared to be really thin and see through.

styled the drawstring shorts with the chambray shirt for a different look from above!

Pajama shorts – Extremely comfortable- TTS They come in tons of cute prints like this watermelon pair. Also a cute gift too!

I also tried on these jogger pants, but didn’t get a picture. The fit was TTS and they felt like butter! extremely comfortable and soft. The small was a fitted fit. size up for a loose fit. I would wear these as pajama pants too!

Pom pom shorts – I have these in black from last year and love them. The drawstring is adjustable and they come in three colors. I loved this periwinkle color! I would recommend sizing down in these.

sunglasses – over sized tortoise | rose rounded frames | mirror frames

I have never tried their sunglasses before but the larger frames reminded me of my DIFF sunglasses I wear all the time. They all had comfortable fit, and I couldn’t just choose one! I also am glad I tried a few on because I feel like the picture online looks really different. But all great sunnies if you are needed an inexpensive pair! I keep looking back at the rose gold pair, they are different and fun for summer! 😉

Hat | link bracelet | wrap bracelet | Old Navy polka dot maxi dress TTS | stud earrings
