Favorite Things Party Information
There are several variations of this party. I am sharing the way we have do it and it’s simple and easy to follow. After setting a gift price, you ask each person to bring 3 of the SAME item – WRAPPED. When everyone arrives number a sheet of paper 1- ____ with the amount of guests that brought gifts to share. *You are bringing 3 gifts to share, and will go home with 3 different gifts. The hostess will write down numbers to put in a bowl for everyone to draw 3 numbers. For example if you have 20 guests, you will put three 1’s, three 2’s, three 3’s and so on in a bowl until you have three of each number in a bowl. Go around and let everyone draw 3 numbers from the bowl, just make sure you don’t draw a duplicate number or your own number. (If you were number 5 on the sheet of paper, you can’t draw a #5 as a gift to receive.)
Once all guests have drawn their 3 numbers, the hostess then starts with the sheet of paper with all the guests names written down. She will call out Number One – pass out your gifts to the three people that drew number one from the bowl. So those three people that drew number one will raise their hand to claim their gift and then open it. The gift giver can then explain why its a favorite item and why they love it!
Once all gifts are distributed each guest will have passed out their three items as well as receive new three different items to take home. This party idea is so fun and creative. It is such a great way to try new things, find new gift ideas and of course the best is spending time with your friends!
