The spring and summer trends are hitting the stores! Are you ready?
I had the pleasure of visiting one of my favorite local boutiques, Rue Bird Market here in Katy, Texas. If you haven’t heard me talk about Rue Bird then you must start by clicking here and reading their story.
Today in this blog post, I am sharing the trends that are getting us in the spring time mood, and they are available NOW at Rue Bird Market! Spring Trends
Gray | Blush Tones
Gray and blush have been trending for some time now and seems to just be getting more and more popular. These two colors have been making a powerful presence this season not just in clothing, but jewelry and home decor too.
This first look is hitting all the gray feels and it isn’t just your regular gray tee. It is the perfect flowy top for spring and the warm summer months! I love the cutout detail near the top and bottom of this blouse. I paired it with faded Kut from the Kloth, black skinny jeans that are also available at RB Market. This top will be perfect for spring with a pair of white denim or jean shorts. If you look closely, Rue Bird also offers the newest jewelry trends. These double ball studs have taken a new twist on your basic earring. I love the two-toned shades of this pair. These studs also come in silver and gold.
Here I am wearing a darker gray top that again has the cutest cutout detail. This top is open in the back, so there are multiple ways you can style it. You have the option to layer a tank underneath, or I think a cute loose knot tied in the back with denim shorts would be so cute for summer.
Next up is this cute blush tunic top. I loved the ruffle detail at the bottom and on the sleeves. I like how the sleeve is longer, so the ruffle doesn’t interfere with your shoulder and arm size. The ruffle comes down lower on the arms to give it a more slender look. I was excited that it comes in a light gray too. This top was selling fast when I first tried it on, so if you are loving it……RUN!!!!
These beaded earrings are just a glimpse at what RB offers in accessories. These are perfect for spring and such a fun new trend. They come in gray, pink and white and are very light. I love when I find a pair of earrings that don’t pull on my ears.
RueBird Market also has fun bags coming in for the spring and summer. This tote bag is just one of them. I love how it will go with everything and can be your go-to catch all bag. It also has a smaller bag on the inside that can be taken out and used as a clutch. 2 bags in 1!!
Ruffles
The blush top brings me to my next trend. Ruffles!! Who loves them? We have seen them for a while now and they are here to stay. Ruffles add a little fun to any top without overpowering the look.
Ruffles and gray! Two of my favorite things. I love this top with the arm ruffle detail. It is the prefect top to style now with your denim jeans. I am wearing KUT pearl detail jeans from RueBird Market. (limited sizes still available). This top will be cute paired with white denim jeans for a summer look, or throw it on with shorts. I really like this top because you could also wear it to the office with a pair of black slacks. I also threw on these cute slide sandals that will be perfect for summer. What is even better is they are under $50!
If you are loving the ruffle trend, but don’t want to much ruffle, this flamingo striped top was my absolute FAVORITE! I mean how cute is this. The small ruffle adds a little fun detail to the sleeve, but not too much to take away from the shirt. I loved pairing it with these distressed white skinny jeans, that are also available at RB Market.
Embroidery
Being from Texas, rodeo is something that is very popular here, and I am so glad that embroidered tops and dresses are such a popular trend, because they can double up as rodeo attire! Just throw on a pair of cowboy boots instead of your wedges and you are set! The small ruffle detail around the edges and the blue seersucker trim makes this top so unique. Just another great find at Rue Bird Market.
This next top is styled for an evening out at the rodeo, but don’t let it scare you if you aren’t a rodeo girl. This top snaps up the back with gold snaps and would look beautiful paired with white jeans and wedges for the spring and summer.
Of course, with all the clothes I have to show y’all another handbag that Rue Bird Market carries. These vegan leather bags are gorgeous and so light. This is their newest style that is the perfect size for a day or evening out. These bags are always so versatile and stylish. They can be used as a crossbody or clutch. There is always a smaller bag inside that can be taken out and used as a wristlet. The vegan leather is so soft and buttery. I just love these bags! Summer Dresses
Summer dresses are always so fun to style. With our Texas heat I find myself living in dresses when the weather gets really hot! This hot pink embroidered dress is perfect for so many things! Like my husband said when he saw this one, “this is a Cabo dress!” 🙂 A perfect vacation dress, or throw it on over your swimsuit while chasing the kids at the pool dress or even dress it up for rodeo with your favorite boots and hat.
This next dress has such a pretty blue dye pattern. I love that it is sleeveless and loose. It’s another great dress for summer that can be doubled as a swim suit cover! I paired it with this clear acrylic jewelry that you are seeing everywhere. This chain link style is also making a huge presence this spring and will be big this summer! It is so light weight which is so important to me. The price point on these pieces range from $34-$48.
Also, if you have noticed from the pictures, RB Market has the cutest shoe collection. The sandals I am wearing with this blue dyed shirt dress were the most comfiest sandal. I could walk in them for days! This sandal is a major trend right now and will be so hot for the summer! For reference, I did size up a 1/2 size in this particular shoe. 🙂
These white tortoise earrings were an instant favorite when I saw them. They aren’t heavy at all and would look great for everyday and also could be dressed up for an evening look.
