Target Swimsuit Try On Session

Target-swimsuit blackHi friends!

I took a little blogging time off last week to enjoy spring break with my boys!  We had a great week enjoying the sunshine, had fun out of town with friends and hit up the rodeo for some Mutton Bustin!

We are back to school now and hoping to finally adjust to the time change.  I love that it does stay light later since baseball has started up for my two oldest and we will be living at the fields these next few months.

Spring is here and the weather is starting to show signs of warmer weather.  Although it isn’t quite swimsuit season yet, some suits are already selling out, so I am getting prepared this year and grabbing a good one for this summer.  We spend a lot of time at the beach and neighborhood pools, so for me having a good suit I can move around in and take care of my kids in is a must!

After I posted some favorite swimsuits in one of my Saturday Edition blog posts, you guys asked to see a try on session.  (GULP) haha!  All the swimsuits in this post are from Target.   I was very impressed with the quality of some of these swimsuits.

NUMBER ONE

This first halter top swimsuit has the cutest laser cutout.  I like the fabric and feel like it is a thicker material that gives extra support around the midsection.  This suit has a full coverage back and the tie around the neck is adjustable.   This one also comes in 3 other colors.  I really liked this one!  It is in the YES pile!!!

NUMBER TWO

This one was a favorite right when I put it on.  Something about the mesh making this momma feel a little sexy but still covered.  I loved how the mesh pieces were very flattering around the midsection.  It is a strapless suit, but it comes with a removable strap that can be adjusted around the neck.  I am smaller up top, so I think I need to size down in this one or wear the strap for added support.  The back of this suit is full coverage as well.  It has one large mesh piece covering the back.  Love it!

NUMBER THREE

Next up, is the embroidered low V swimsuit.  I normally would not have tried this on, but  it kept calling my name.  I was thinking a good suit for vacation with the hubby!  The V gives this suit a different look and it isn’t too revealing.  The halter neck tie, lets you tie it around your neck, so depending on your bust size you can adjust it to your comfort and there is also a string around the back that can be tightened for a tighter or loose fit.  It also comes in a black and white stripe and the embroidered area is black.

NUMBER FOUR

This next black swimsuit comes in a ton of colors.  This one fit very similar to the first one I tried on.  I loved the cut out detail at the top and again love the full coverage of this suit.  The halter strap is also adjustable around the neck and there is a strap around the back that can be adjusted.

NUMBER FIVE

I switched it up a little just in case you are a print kinda girl instead of solids.  This swimsuit was an instant a favorite.  I felt like it did a good job with some tummy support and the criss cross straps in the bag are adjustable so you can tighten and loosen this suit as needed.  I felt like the pattern is very flattering with the change of direction near the waist.  I also found a similar suit with the same style if you don’t like the blue and pink.

NUMBER SIX

The picture is a little dark, but this olive green suit was so pretty online.  I really like the fit and look, but unfortunately there is zero tummy support.  So, if you aren’t needing any tummy support this is a really pretty suit to try on.  I personally like to have it sucked it if you know what I mean, so this one didn’t come home with me, but was still a very pretty suit. 🙂 It also comes in black.

NUMBER SEVEN

This pattern suit was another fun print I wanted to try.  I loved the colors and the different direction of the pattern makes this another flattering design.  This one is very similar to the other print I tried with the adjustable criss-cross back.  I am small busted, so I did feel like with this shape I wasn’t filling out the top of this suit.  The halter fit me a little better in my opinion.

More options I loved in store.

The black flutter trim swimsuit comes in hot pink too.  This suit is full coverage in the back and the flutter detail goes all the way around.  So cute!!!

The navy print swimsuit has the same style fit as the other patter suits I tried except the straps are wider and the criss-cross back seemed to be more supportive.  So, if you are needing more support up top then this one is one to try!

Target really does have a lot of great suits in all different price ranges to try on.  I tried to find suits under $40 in this try on session.  I hope this helps you with some of your swim suit choices.  All these suits are free shipping with a $35 order online, so that is always the route I take.  Something about trying them on at home in your own mirror and lighting is better than a dressing room stall.

  1. I think my favorite is the plunging neckline with the lace detail! So sexy!! I never have luck with one pieces as I am long in the middle. lol. I need to go try some of these though!!! Fantastic round-up of swimsuits. xo http://www.everydaycountess.com

    1. Thanks girl! There was one swim suit I noticed online that comes in a “long” option. One of my friends mentioned this problem too, so I think she was trying that one.
