TARGET | TRY ON

Hey there friends,

Well, it has been a while since I did a try on session, so I thought what better place to start than one of y’alls favorite retailers from January! I ran into Target this week try some new spring pieces , work appropriate dresses and blouses and a few transition pieces with shoe picks!

Some items of course are not online, but I linked stated “similar” item if that was the case. Most items I tried fit TTS. For reference, I am 5’6 and usually wear a small in most items. My number size averages a 4. This is for reference, to help you choose the right size for you.

These try-ons are one reason why I love my job. I am not sure if it is the hunt for the right item, finding a good deal, helping someone shop or a combination of it all! I appreciate all the support.

If you decide to shop any of these items, I do make a small commission if you shop through my affiliated links throughout this post. If you click an item, be sure to add items to cart and check out in the same browser. If you check out in an app (I.e. Target app, Amazon app, Nordstrom app) it will cancel out my commission.  Thank you so much for your support.

DRESSES

This dress is on clearance, so mostly likely won’t last long, but I was surprised at how cute the fit was. I am wearing a small so would say it does fit TTS. Would be really cute to style with a denim jacket and even some fun sneakers. Click here to grab yours.

shop: Couldn’t find exact one online but found a very similar one. | similar belted option **will keep a look out for this one

shop: floral dress | same dress in black | floral blouse

This dress was one of my faves! The fit reminded me of a similar dress I tried on during my last work try-on session. The colors are so fun and perfect for spring. This print is also available in a pretty blouse too. Fit TTS. (sizes limited) And if these colors aren’t for you, the windowpane pattern comes in black and white, and you can check it out here.

This one is just a good casual, comfortable dress. $28 It is perfect for casual work days, but also comfy to run errands in and has POCKETS! It fit TTS. For reference I am wearing a small. And it comes in 2 other solid colors and a stripe version too! Click here to grab yours.

shop: stripe dress (comes in floral too) $34

I was excited to try this one on. I felt like the fit is super flattering and would be great dress for the office. I loved the bold stripe and the ties on the sleeves. Fit TTS. Click here to get yours.

shop: leggings $14 | coffee tee $13

A try-on can’t happen without a comfy outfit throw in the mix. I scooped up these leggings on the way to the dressing room, and loved them. I would recommend trying a one size down. This is a small and they were baggy around the waist. For $14 these would make a great pair of lounge, everyday leggings. I paired it with one of Target’s coffee shirts. A girl can never have too many, right? I went up a size in this shirt for added length and it is labeled “junior” sizing.

shop: green blouse TTS $28 | black flare kick pants (TTS-size 2 for reference)

This green blouse is gorgeous in person. The green is a deep shade, and so rich! (color online doesn’t do it justice) I love how you can wear these blouses for the office, but also dress up for a night out with jeans. Blouse fit TTS.

Are you ready to try the crop pants look? You must, especially if you are a working gal. These are called Kick Flare pants and I loved the fit. They do fit TTS. You could style these for the office with pumps or even dress them down with sandals like I am wearing or flats. They were flattering and extremely comfortable. (for reference, I tried on a size 2) Click here to get yours.

Another fun blouse, that is great for layering and for the office. It fit TTS and I loved layering below under a blazer. Click here to get yours.

I couldn’t find this stripe blazer online, but will keep a look out. I would recommend sizing down one size. Solid blazers if you are in the market. (same brand)

shop: stripe top $13| Flare kick pants | *shirt is TTS (wearing a small)

This 3/4 sleeve length shirt is a great dressy shirt that will work with pants and even a blazer for the office or throw on with jeans. I was extremely soft and stretchy. I love the rust stripe, but it is also available in other stripe options and solid colors. Fits true to size. Click here to grab yours.

shop: chambray shirt

I love that this sleeveless chambray top is back! It is perfect for hot summer days, but can be styled for a casual office look or tuck in into a fun skirt! So many options with this one. It fit me true to size. I am wearing a small for reference.

This swing dress isn’t online yet, but I will keep everyone posted when it arrives. It think it is a brand new arrival! Easy ways to style a swing dress while the weather is chilly is just add a tunic length shirt. This chambray shirt is extremely soft and I love the longer length. It would be great with leggings. For reference, I went down to an XS in this shirt. Click here to grab yours.

I love when I find a good cami! This one will be great for layering and perfect for summer. It is a silky material, so will be cute dressing up for a girls’ night out. The straps are adjustable and I am wearing a small for reference. It doe come in 2 other colors. Click here to shop it!

I threw my favorite cardigan over it in store to give you one example of a causal but put together look! This cardigan is like the stripe cardigan I shared recently and is GOOD! If you need a new cardigan be sure to check this one out. The belt in the back gives it a slimming look and keeps your cardigan straight up and down and not frumpy looking! #winner

Added this hat to finish my look! Y’all know my love for hats especially in the summer time. This one came home with me! It is packable, has SPF and an adjustable band! And only $13! YES Please! 🙂 Click here to shop the hat.

SHOES

Outfits are not complete without the perfect shoe! I snuck over the shoe department to check out the new arrivals. I loved the fit of the Universal Thread shoes. These were two of my favorite picks!

  1. The block heel pair will be great for dressing up with dresses and jeans this spring and summer. I love the gray color of these, but they also come in blush and tan.
  2. The Universal Thread wedge also is another great option if you prefer a wedge over heels. They were extremely comfortable too. Both pairs are $33 and fit TTS. These also come in black and brown.

A few more I tried on from the Universal Thread line……..

  1. Flat sandals $20 other colors available + wide option available
  2. Cut out bootie $35 comes in several colors and fits TTS
  3. Leopard kitten block heel $28 Fit TTS (the back is open on this pair and they have a low block heel.)

Also wanted to try this pair, but they weren’t in store. They are a great DUPE to the more expensive ones that were so popular last year. These are selling out already!

A New Day block heels $33

I also really loved this pair. The gray was a great neutral, but these also come in other colors as well. They fit TTS and seemed to be super comfortable. Click here to get a pair.

Universal Thread block heels– Great alternative for a lower heel. $30

Another great pair, I recently ordered and tried on for y’all! I couldn’t decide on color, so grabbed one of each to decide. Click here to grab yours.
