We literally blinked and September was ending! My boys are getting adjusting to back to school routines, homework schedules, and chores around the house! I shared a few weeks ago that I started implementing chores with my older boys for an allowance. They are usually asking for something at the store when we go, so I thought why not try it. It has been working out great.
How it works: They have a set amount that I give them on Friday each week, if they have completed any chores on our list. For example, one vacuums breakfast area each night after dinner, fold clothes and put them away, unload dish washer etc…. It has been working for us and a hug help for me! They also are having fun either spending their hard earned money or saving it for something big.
We are still wishing for cooler weather in the south, but I am getting the fall itch with all the cozy pieces hitting the store shelves. I have been transitioning summer pieces into fall and also bringing in new light fall pieces to carry through the season.
The TOP TEN this month is a lot of great basic pieces that you guys have been loving and I love them too! Let’s get started.
