January is off and running. The boys are back to school after having a wonderful holiday break. It was nice to have a few weeks of no early alarm clocks and no schedule. We have had some chilly weather here in Texas and some parts have even gotten snow, but I know in just a few short months our days will be heating up and spring break will be here before we know it!
As the weather gets warmer we hope to start getting back outside more and getting some sunshine and Vitamin D! We did plan a little quick getaway and I thought it would be fun to share what I am thinking about packing plus my favorite go to beach vacation looks. Some pieces are oldie but goodies, and some are a few new finds!

long sleeve dress – this is my second color in this dress and I love it for so many reasons. I love the comfortable loose fit and how light and breezy it is. I have worn this dress on airplane rides, car trips, beach trips or just summer around town! A great dress that fits true to size. You can also wear a cami bra if you don’t want it to be too low cut. Also, I would not dry this dress….it will shrink some in the dryer.
navy jumpsuit ( with pockets)
LOVE LOVE the fit on this jumpsuit. I am wearing my true size and love the fit. It DOES have pockets and fits true to size. I dressed it up with wedges and fun accessories, but it easily can be dressed down too. It also comes in several colors, I am contemplating getting the black one too! leopard jumpsuit – Another jumpsuit that has a great fit. This one is more of a dressy sleeker material compared to the navy one above. You could easily wear this one for an evening dinner. Note – this one does not have pockets but the fit is about the same.
Maxi summer dress – a color dress that I took The Bahamas 2 years ago and wore a ton last summer! This one has adjustable straps too!
kaftan cover up – this one is an oldie but goodie and I can’t get over the gorgeous colors. I have worn this one the past two years and love it. It is a one size fits all. Click here to grab yours!
Tacos cover up – Margaritas and pool side sounds perfect right now 🙂 and I thought this cover up would be perfect for a beach trip and summer time! I sized up in this one. The brand is more of a junior sizing, so I recommend sizing up at least one. Click here to grab this one!

black cover up – perfect slip on and go cover up for pool days and beach days or just lounging. I sized up to a medium in this one – this brand is more “junior sizing” So, I would recommend sizing up for length. Click here to grab it!

leopard swimsuit – Amazon for the win on this one. My friend, Sarah shared this one recently and I had to have it. I love the fit and would compare the fit to my red one I shared over the summer. It’s a tad “cheekier” than my normal suits, but not too cheeky where. I feel uncomfortable. I would recommend your true size in this one. (for reference wearing a small) Click here to grab yours.

stripe swimsuit – I saw this suit online and immediately fell in love. I love the pinky red stripe, but it also comes in a blue stripe too! The ruffle sleeves are so flattering in my opinion and the fit is great. This brand is one of my favorite affordable brands. I feel like the suits have great coverage, excellent support and hold up really well. I would recommend your true size. Click here to snag this one.
BEACH / SUMMER ACCESSORIES
My beach tote, travel tote, everything tote arrived last week and I am so excited about this! It comes in a large and x-large, and I went with the x-large since I have 3 boys and still need haul toys, towels, goggles and all the mom things! But if you just needed a personal tote, the large is perfect. I can’t get over how light this bag is even when its full. The straps fit comfortably with the strap attachment and did I mention this bag is neoprene, which means it is washable, packable and easy to clean! Hat – I tried out a new hat this past week and found a winner! This summer hat comes sized (small, medium and large) and it also is adjustable on the inside. My hub always jokes and says I have a big head since our head size is almost the same, so I appreciate a sized hat to make sure I get the right fit. I love the wide brim on this one and the fit! Gold bangles – my go to summer / pool bangles that I pretty much wear year round. They slip on and are a bendable material. You can determine your size using the sizing guide on the website, which I highly recommend. I am wearing a size small and love the fit. They are snug to slide on (I usually slide one or two on at a time) but once on the fit is great! You don’t want them too big. click here to grab a set.

black lounge beach pants – these are a great lounge option but can we worn with swimsuits as well. True to size.
fun set of 3 colorful bangles – I love these affordable bracelets I purchased last summer! Great to throw on to add that pop of color.
button up cover up / dress – this dress /cover up was an instant favorite last summer and I will be packing this one on my next trip too!
red swim suit – I feel like a million bucks in this suit, and that is how all women should feel when they put on a summer suit! Rock it ladies! (tts)
tassel earrings – I own these in three colors and love the fun oversized fit! They aren’t too heavy for me either. I do notice that the colors to fit different, so make a note if you are trying different colors.
