Hey there friends,
Well here we are again saying another month flew by! This one has been a really busy month with my 2 older boys going back to school. So we have been adjusting to new bedtimes, homework schedules and now flag football practices.
August is such a fun month though! It is always sad to wrap up our summer vacations but this also brings on the start of a new school year and ROUTINE! I thrive on a little routine in my day. I get so much more done when I am up early and moving. Now that August is ending, that just means our fall months are here! We might not have fall weather quite yet, but we sure can decorate our houses and burn our pumpkin candles and sip our lattes like it is. 🙂
I love doing the favorite monthly post! It is always so fun to see what you guys are loving, plus I like to share my faves too!

So if you have been following along on social media channels, I have been sharing my beginning journey with a 21 Day Switch that I have been doing with Jacci Hotzel. This program is designed to help you transition into Keto over a 3 week period. I personally needed something after coming off of summer where the snacking has gotten the best of me. And since Keto was completely foreign to me, I wanted to slowly work my way in and educate myself before diving head first. Jacci has been extremely helpful during this 3 week program!
To start I ordered this book, that gave me the 411 on Keto and what it is all about. It also has tons of recipes in the back that I have been cooking my way through.
I am wrapping of week 3 this week and have been extremely pleased with the 3 week transition. I plan to continue with going Keto and can’t wait to share more with y’all!
I’ve been making a lot of protein shakes for breakfast because it’s just easy and quick and that’s what I need, especially on school days. One of my new favorites is one that Jacci shared!
Lemon Berry Shake
1 1/4 cup of Almond Milk ( I like New Barn and Malk brands best)
1 scoop of Vega Plant Based Vanilla Protein (or your fave)
2 TBSP Chia Seeds
1-2 TBSP Raw Almond Butter
1 cup Frozen Cauliflower Rice (you can’t taste it at all)
1/4 cup of wild berries or blueberries
Juice from 1 lemon
**Add water as you blend if the shake is too thick. I sometimes add about 1/4 cup of cold water. You can even throw in some spinach if you want!
Blend. And Enjoy! 🙂
Ok, when I find a beauty product I love I want to share it with you guys! You know how much I love my round brush volumizing blow dryer, right?! This is my go to when I want a quick blowout look. It works wonders on my hair, and takes the straightening step out for me, which saves me an extra 15 minutes in the long run. Plus it helps cut down on the frizz! Click here to grab yours!
I recently saw Megan, from Honey We’re Home talk about curling tools. She always has the best curls in my opinion, and never invested in an expensive tool. But recently she talked about this wand and giving it a try.
I have always struggled with beach waves, and usually get them a couple times a year when I visit my hair dresser. My hair is thick, but super soft and silky. This is a blessing and a curse. 😉 I didn’t want to invest too much because let’s be honest, I am in workout clothes 1/2 the time with a messy bun on my head, so I am excited to give this one a try! Click here for all the wand details. I purchased the 25mm because my curls have a hard time holding, so my thought is I can get a tighter curl and by day 2 it will be perfect! There is also a 32mm option.
Let me know if you try it or if you have used it before! 🙂
Thank you in advance for supporting Running On Clean Blog! I am beyond grateful for all the friends I have made along the way. Wishing everyone a wonderful weekend.
